I was kind of surprised to see that the preference of tri- over monosubstituted alkene in a reaction was not higher than the preference of tri- over disubstituted alkene. Is that really the case? I would have guessed that if the percentages in the first reaction are 80-20, in the second reaction they would be maybe 60-40. Isn’t there at least a small difference?
